This very recognizable Song is something of a "Pseudo Cover" of a Deep Purple Song. It borrows a "Riff" and fuses it with Jazz, Vocals and other new material. It is not a True Cover nor a Plagiarism but an Original influenced by a Iconic Work.

Roy Clark(see Youtube)has a verison of Malaguena which borrows the melody from Ernesto Lecuona's Suite Andalucia as well as other Spanish Folk Melodies; yet Clark's version is considered original. Asturias/Leyenda is even more "borrowed".
