Prague quintet Thoola who have released two EPs up to date are breaking away from their folk beginnings and on the debut album introducing their distinctive sound with influences drawing from post-punk and alternative rock. In spite of the eclectic output on the record - whether it is the soaring indie anthem Loss Heart or the jazz-soaked ballad Nomad - the uniting vocals of Zoja Gorbušina maintain the band´s message clear and make from the record an interesting musical excursion deserving a repeated listen.
